I am currently a student teacher studying Early Childhood and Primary Education at Murdoch University. I am an upbeat, energetic, creative young woman with a passion for teaching and learning. I have my certificate three and four in Teachers Assistant and have worked in childcare centers and did relief teacher assistant work at primary schools.
Over the years I have discovered my true love for teaching and working with children. It is hard to believe that soon from now I will be fulfilling my dream of teaching in my own classroom. I have known that I wanted to be a teacher all of my life. In primary school, I absolutely loved my year 5 teacher and she is the reason why I chose my teaching career. She made my learning an experience I will never forget and since then, I have set out on a life-long goal to make sure that I become a teacher just like her, creative, fun, full of energy and amazing.
I wake up each morning with the intention to live each day to its fullest. My parents were both born in Turkey and came to live in Australia at a very young age. Coming from a Turkish background has been great, being able to speak, write and understand Turkish is something that I Love and one day I would love to go to Turkey and do some teaching there. I am the eldest of three girls, my two younger sisters are not just my sisters but my best friends and we do everything together and I’m so happy that I’ve been a great role model for them, says my mother and father. I am a very family orientated person and will do everything and anything for them. I absolutely love animals and have two energetic puppies, pet gold fish and would love to get a pet turtle soon.
I am willing to try anything, within reason, and hope that this love for life will influence my future teaching.
